Feminist AI in Practice: Incubators, Infrastructure & Collective Mapping

June 11th 2026 | Field Visit

Co-Curators: Iffat Rose Gill, Founder of Code to Change; Jensine Larsen, Founder of Unfurl Futures

Co-facilitators: Weijie Huang, Feminist AI, Inclusive AI Lab; Kirthi Jayakumar, Head of community engagement, World Pulse, Research Affiliate, the Inclusive AI Lab (India)

Venue: AI Incubator Amsterdam

As women’s rights and democratic freedoms face increasing pushback globally, feminist leaders are using technology in powerful ways—to organize, protect communities, document abuses, mobilize resources, and build alternative infrastructures. Yet many of these digital efforts remain underfunded, fragmented, and isolated, limiting their collective impact. This visit explores how feminist AI values—care, accountability, solidarity, and justice—are being embedded (or challenged) within AI incubators and social-impact tech organizations. Code to Change will guide participants through their AI Incubator headquarters and neighboring AI incubators to learn how AI tools, skill-building, organizational cultures, and funding models shape feminist innovation in practice. The visit includes short presentations and informal exchange with incubator teams, a shared lunch to continue conversations across sectors, and a collective mapping exercise to connect feminist digital actors, infrastructures, and resources.
